Default Double spurs

A friend of mine came to the house today with a gobbler with double spurs. The top were 1" and just below them was another set about 3/8" long. I have seen bearded hens gobblers with multiple beards but never heard of double spurs. Have any of you ever heard os such?

I have seen them onceon a rooster chicken before. So I'm sure turkeys can have them too.

Yes sir, they are rare critters but it does happen. In fact, you can search the N.W.T.F records and find some trophy Toms with 3 spurs per leg! Wouldn't that be awesome! CONGRATS to your buddy, he indeed has one rare trophy.

I sure wish you would have taken some pix to share with us though???
