Default Daytime locator call

Hey i am hunting in TX and was just wandering of a good locator call to find gobblers during the day (morning, mid-day and early evening). I dont know why I havent mastered a good locator call but they seem more difficult to me than turkey calling. Anyways a good easy to use call would be appreciated

Get to an area with a good listening spot... reach in the window of your truck and give 2 quick honks on your horn...
They'll gobble at that.

A crow call works great any time of day.

I use a squirrel barker call, but that might not work good in the open country of texas, try a wood pecker call.

The best daytime locator call I've ever found is the Primos Power Crow.... that baby seems to make 'em Gobble when nothing else will. If you're not positioned where the bird will be so close that you'll have to jump for cover or spook him, then a Box call is also an outstanding locator for windy days or greater distances.

Never used this, but I suggest a hawk. Whenever a tom is around and a hawk screams, he always gobbles. Thinking of getting one myself.

The first time I used a owl call about five owls land in the trees around me.

Mid morning I would have to agree with the crow call or box call . A gobble call often work well, but make sure you are in a safe place with little to no hunting pressure....

That is really no joke, I have had them gobble at me slamming a truck door.

Use a crow call, it doesnt even have to sound that good as long as it is loud.
