Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default weird shell lengths...!

hey guys, well i went out and bought 2 different kinds of shells to see what 1 patterned better. i bought winchester supreme 3.5 #5, and remington HV buffered magnums in 3.5 #4.

anywyas the remingtons patterned way better in my gun.

when i set the shells next to eachother i noticed size differences. the 3.5 winchester was about an 8th of an inch taller than the remington 3.5 #4. the remington 3.5 #5 i bought are even shorter than the #4s.

If they are all 3.5 inch shells, then why are they different lengths?

oh yeah the shortest 3.5 inch shell patterned the best. remington h.v #5...

Default RE: weird shell lengths...!

The shell length refers to the FIRED length...Unfired shells may vary from brand to brand because of different wad columns, crimps or whatever, but all FIRED 3.5" shells should be 3.5" long
