hey guys i just bought a coyote howler today and i know its good for roosting birds in the afternoon, but will it work any good in at daybreak when trying to locate a bird? thanks for any input guys

The gobbles are getting louder.....in my mind, anyway.
Man, I am under the impression they will gobble to anything. The other morning I was pulling into my feild; I got out to open the gate and one gobbled to me slamming the door of my truck. Also a buddy of mine was working with his dog in a pond on my land and one started gobbling to the whistle he was using.
Just the other night I steped out on the front pourch (@ 10:00p.m.)and the coyotes would howl,then turkeys would gobble so I am quite sure it would work.As said before, alot of mournings (before sunup) when i head to work they will gobble at the shutting of the house door and car door.

Yes, a Coyote caller can work as a locator call; however if used the morning of the hunt I am not sure how comfortable it will make a gobbler especially you are calling him out of his conmfort zone....
