I found 5 areas with turkey sign on my turkey ground.There all about1-2 miles from the parking lot on public ground. What's the chances that there won't be a crowd on opening day?
Looks like you may have some luck in your future... One thing about public land, might wanna look at it on yahoo maps or google earth and anticipate someone else getting back there from another route maybe....

My guess would be slim to none. Could work in your favor though.
