Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Another First for Turkey Hunting

I Hunt in S. GA. Took my nephew Easter morning. Called 3 hens in with 2 toms close behind drumming. Birds got with in 5 yrds of shooting lane. Made a stupid mistake. I wanted the birds to put on a show for my nephew so I called a couple of times to get them to gobble. Hens came back and flanked us taking the toms with them. My nephew never got to shoot. Boy am I on his you know what list.

Went back this afternoon to scout a little more(new land I am hunting). Went to the same spot and ended up having 4 birds strutting in front of us within a 100yrds!!!!WOW. Never had that opportunity before. Very exciting. Henned up,so no luck. Still exciting though. He is now a turkey-holic.
