i used to live close to it... fort riley isone of theworst area for poaching becausesome ofthe soldiers that just don't care. this year they started a drawing which will drasticly cut down on the number of hunters over there which will help. previously it was way overcrowded with hunters, i won't hunt there because of all of the poaching and treestand theifs. as for deer quality i believe it has some of the best in the state. the game warden told me this winter that fort riley and tuttle creek are the 2 worst poached areas in kansas.

sorry, i didn't realize i was responding to a turkey post... the drawing is for deer and i am not sure if they have a drawing for turkeys, i don't believe so. as for turkeys i don't think it would be too hard to find some running around, as long as it isn't crowded with hunters.

My son will be stationed there, when his tour in Germany is over. Sometime in October, I think.
