Right now! Our season doesn't start until about the same time and I've learned numerous things by watching them already. The more you know about your birds the better off you'll be.
No need to start scouting until about two weeks out. You only need to locate where they will be at for "Opening day."
Time will come soon enough....pattern your gun. Work on your calls. Take care of all the other things now that could interfer with hunting time when the season starts....
i dont know what part of mo your in but i know that birds are just now starting to break up into bachelor groups. i go out every morning (mainly cause i'm out fishing anyway) and hav not heard any yet. it will be just a little bit longer here in northwest mo.
