Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Scouting....

Hard scouting for 3 days now, in 3 different areas. This afternoon went to my super spot and waltzed around it for a while. Below is a pic of my area, 3 fields on one side of a deep creek with a longer field on the other I have no access to. Where my tab is, is where I primarily see all of my big birds...
Unfortunately, with all of the rain, that creek is a river that runs into el dorado lake that is currently 3 feet over conservation level, nonethe less to say, my spot is soaked. The birds are not in there but the tracks are up on the north end....
I know that the birds are roosting along the creek and they pitch into the fields in the morning.... I found tracks all up and down it...
This means.... more big old trapped in toms for your pal Steve!!!!!

If you are spending time in the woods observing tracks, there is a good chance the turkeys are seeing you, even though you didn't not see them.

I would stay away from roosting areas, but listen from high points at daylight & dark then glass fields during the day from a far.....

Good luck....

It is difficult to run turkeys out of their area for good, but it is easy to make than smarter.

Good luck.....
