I came down Monday to hunt with strutnbuck here in Central FL and have had a great hunt so far. We started our morning at 4:00 and got to our area around 5:00. After a 30 minute walk we got setup in a great looking area. Around 7:00 strutnbuck gave a few soft yelps and a fly down cackle that was quickly answered by a nearby longbeard. About 30 seconds later he flew down in the field we were watching and slowly made his way in to our setup. At 7:15 the hammer dropped and the bird hit the ground. You couldn't ask for a more textbook hunt. Thanks again strutnbuck. Nothing like breaking the ice on the first mornin'.
