what do you guys think the all aroundbest call is to locate a turkey.
For me its hard to beat my grave digger boat paddle, loud and high pitched always seems to get those tight lipped bird to give away their position, second would be a pilieated woodpecker

Crow call works best for me also. Starting calling hard, the turkey will respond, and you will call more crows in, then you don't have to call anymore b/c the other crows will start going at it.
I have tried both the hawk and owl. The hawk worked but not very consistently. The owl didn't work where I hunt. There aren't many owls here anyway. The crow was by far the most consistent.
Train whistle definitely works, so does a truck door or horn-although I wouldnt recommend that . If a bird is hot enough, he'll hammer off at just about anything. Early mornin I usually hoot with my mouth, mid day either a crow or woodpecker call does well for me.

We have a lot of hawks and owls around here and havn't had one gobbler when I've tried. I've found slamming my truck door, dropping something in the bottom of my boat, and coughing to work really good! I know, I know! LOL
