Default Do you hunt by your house

I've seen a lot of posts from people that show pics of flocks of turkeys by their house. I am just wondering, when it comes to turkey hunting, do you stay close to your house....you know the turkeys are there, or do you go to another area?

My hunting spots are between 15 to 30 minutes from home. Except for my Missouri hunts there 6 hours away...

i dont hunt where i live, but on one of the propertys i have hunted by houses before, like within 20 yards of the house, i had to pass up doubleing on two MONSTER gobblers(biggest ones i have ever seen, and i was hunting with my dad who couldnt see the beards) because they came in where if i shot them my shot would have hit the roof of the house.

then on another peice of property i have actually wallked around a house to get to where the birds were(empty house)

For me the thrill of turkey hunting is calling one in , not just shooting something . I have to say no to shooting one around the house .
