Can i use Hevi Shot with same choke tube?

From what Ive read it sounds like Hevi Shot is made of a little different material than Winchester Supreme turkey loads. Can i use Hevi Shot with the same choke tube in my Mossberg 835 as i use with Winchester Supreme?

You have to make sure that the choke tube is designed with hevi-shot. If it is, then you can shoot hevi-shot or normal lead shot (such as your Win Supreme). If it isn't designed for hevi-shot, then you do not want to shot hevi-shot through it.

i have NEVER heard of anybody not being able to shoot hevi out of a normal choke, i think hevi-shot makers probley created those chokes to fool yall

ya thats what i dont understand. Why CANT hevi shot be shot out of a regular choke tube.

because some of the shot is made of harder material than the choke tube, thus increasing the chance of grooving or damaging the tube...tony

Consider yourself educated then. No different than steel shot. Different shot materials require different choke constrictions and different choke materials. Pretty easy to grasp ain't it?
