Who makes the best slate call, not slate type. We talk about this many times and I want to know who makes the best with no limit on price.

I think that is a hard ? to answer. Everybody likes different calls. I think its hard to find one slate that does every call great. I have some that yelp great but i like the clucks better on another. I think the best sounding slate i have is my Custom Cody.

If there was a best slate call, you would only see one answer up there, if you get what i mean. It is all up to you.

I don' t know from experience if these are the best but I have sure took a liking to Blodgett' s Tough Country slate and Steve Harrison' s bocote and osage orange slates. Hope to be the proud owner of a couple of these beauties one of these days when I can scrounge up the dough! Then maybe I will know if they are the best!
