Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default How many beads

How many pellets/beads should I expect to put into a turkey at 30-40 yards to get a clean kill?

If you are talking about judging a good shotgun pattern, I've read anywhere from 3 to 6 minimum in the spinal column and/or brain. Whatever the number, your gun should be able to do it every time you shoot.

stuckinthereeds- the more pellets you put in the vitals the better.
but, it only takes one pellet in the brain to kill a turkey.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
