Love Turkey Hunting but hate watching turkey hunting?

I think my greatest experience in the field to date, was on a turkey hunt. Everytime a turkey hunt comes on tv, I change the channel, occasionally as season fast approaches I'll try to watch, pick up some tips/ try to listen to some calling, but for the most part, I can't stand to watch it. Anyone else out there have the same feelings? Perhaps with another type of animal/hunt?

I love to watch turkey hunting on TV. I can't stand to watch deer hunting though.

I also enjoy watching turkey hunting videos. They are not all real life situations, but they are a hell of a lot closer to real life average joe hunting than the deer hunting videos. They kind of get me pumped for the upcoming turkey season.

I think if your really into turkey hunting... I mean obsessed... You would want to watch, read, do everything that has to do with turkeys... I guess I know what kind of turkey hunter you are

I'm with you Mr. Longbeard. I'll watch any turkey video and read any book or magazine I can get my hands on. I'm sure my wife, the kids, and my co-workers get sick of hearing about turkeys and turkey hunting! I do not enjoy watching a deer hunt at all.

Oh I am obsessed - more than you think - Saturdays when the wife goes shopping I go get my Double Bull blind - set it over my tall mans easy rocker recliner - grab a few calls and turn on the big screen.....with surround sound so it shakes the walls......the dogs go hide...and I am in my glory.....

Do I need therapy? You betcha and it is called spring!

I don't HATE watching turkey hunting but it is not as satisfaying as turkey hunting yourself.

turkey, deer, pig, elk, bow or not.......don't matter i watch them all

there is always room to learn a little something.......you never know when you can pick up a little something.........but, i guess if your an "old dog" then...well.....
