Nova Rattling Problem

I've been looking at buying a nova pump but have heard that the rattling is a problem. Has anyone experienced this?

I had the Nova, but just moved to the super nova. A friend of mine has made the same move. Both are pumps and as such will have some rattle in the slide. I guess some may be worse than others, but mine don't seem to be bad at all. Obviously a semi-auto will be quieter, but my nova and supernova have never worried me in the turkey woods.

Buy a Remington and never have to worry about the rattle. That's the main reason I did away with my 835. I wnated a Supernova, but when I checked one out, it also rattled. That's when I chose the 870 SuperMag. You pay for quality, and that's what you get in a Remington.

The guns do have a clickingafter the breach is closed. This click sounds like a cluck but is aggravating. I am working on this problem with mine to see if I can find a way to eliminate it of quiet it down.


I have an idea I just have to find the time to try it....

I own two super novas and neither one has a rattle.

mine does too... so do 3 more that guys i hunt with... plus several more at the gun shop...............tony

There are some allen head bolts on the pump(one on each side) that you can tighten to do away with the rattle but don't over tighten.
