Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default New mexico trip this year

It looks like I'll pass on Oklahoma this year and try public land in NM instead. $130 for a NR spring license good for 2 birds, lots of National Forest land with good populations of Merriams and Riosand nice places to stay.
ROAD TRIP!

Where are you headed in NM? I'm planning on hunting the Gila Wilderness Area at some point in my life.

Lincoln National Forest. Units 34, 36, and 37. I just booked a condo in Ruidoso. There are over 1,000,000 acres to hunt with Merriams and Rios. The hunter success rate last year was 50% and this is public land! I'll also be looking for elk sign while I'm there. Who knows, maybe I'll get drawn.
