Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Who has been to Black Kettle BLM?

And how can I get my hands on a map? I've tried the BLM website with little luck. Also what areas did you hunt and did you do any good? I'll be making a trip this year and would appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks guys.

Go to the Oklahoma Dept. of Wildlife Conservation and you can see an interactive map of Black Kettle. Black Kettle is not contigious, but different lands in the same area. I haven't hunted it in years, but it used to be good for spring gobbers. I hear they get quite a bit of pressure. but htem what birds on public hunting don't.

Yep It used to be a great place back years ago. I hunted the Texas side along the river and boy that place was always gobbling. We did great, had fun and even got to kill more then one bird a day Being from Canada the funnest thing I ever seen was I stopped by a ranch area, well more like a Large house on a hill with Tons of land. I knocked on the door and a Pleasent man came to the door and I started to chat. Told him who I was and where I was from, how long it took me to get here, plain out told him I was a stranger to the area but came only to kill one of these texas turkeys and ment no harm to anyone in the area or there belongs.

The fellow laughs and said Young man you have to be the most honest person that has ever came to my door, If your stupid enough to drive all the way from Canada for a damn turkey, way you go and have fun, just be safe. We got our turkeys

We heard afterwards that this person is know very large to the area and that he Never allows hunting on his property that people knew of
