Ok Im getting fired up for spring turkey season. Lets see your biggest bird. Heres mine which was 25lbs double beards 11 and 8 inch beards, spur lenghts 1 1/4 in spurs...

Last year, 24lbs. 7/8" spurs and 9.5" beard.

I think this was 2002...killed my biggest in 82 but onlyhave a lousy pic of it I took with a pocket Kodack...this bird was a shade under 23lbs and had a beard that was over 11inchs.Spurs were 1 1/4 on bothsides...

Here is my biggest gobbler so far. I got him back in April of 2005. This gobbler weighed approximately 27 pounds, had two beards (beard one is 10.25" and beard two is 6.5"), and had 1.6" spurs on both sides. I took the bird to the taxidermist and he said he had never seen a bird with that big of spurs and he had been doing taxidermy work since the mid 1970's. I shot the turkey just before the sun went down and by the time my buddy and I got to the camera, it was getting dark out, so the pics are a little dark...sorry. He is on my wall right now!
