Yesterdays, 20 degree drom in temp, howling winds, and piling snow made them put on the feed bag....there were 2 birds with 10+ beards...2 of them only had 4-6" beards but had 1" or better spurs, rather puzzling to me...

Oh shoot I forgot to add - just got back form Kansas 12/23/07- we whacked a bunch of quail - after a series of several shotgun blasts - off in the distance - Gobbling like you would not believe!

That really made my day!
