Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default In my vest I'll have . . .

Had posted this on another site and wanted to see what others on this site pack into the woods.

In my vest I'll have two box and one slate call with multiple strikers, chalk, 2-3 decoys (2 hens and jake), crow & owl call, gobbler, clothes pins (for my blind), 7-8 shells or release when bow hunting, flo-orange vest and hat (for when I'm moving or have a bird in tow), camo gloves and headnet, two bottles of water (one 1/2 frozen), extra clothes, bug juice, flashlights (2), knife, snack, ziplock bags, license, cell phone, compass, map, and digital camera.

On me but outside my vest are my roll up wall blind, stool, and gun/bow.

I could do without the decoys, locator calls, and blind for shotgun but the blind is a must during archery season.

Lets see some posts from the "I bring the minimum" to the "I bring everything" crowd.

I pretty much carry the same as everyone else but I also carry a light fleece vest for cold mornings. I also have this little tool that has a diamond face to condition my slates, has chalk inside, sandpaper for strikers, and a few other little things to condense. Don't forget about binos.

I'll have some TP, one bottle of water, a snack, a slate call, a glass call, four or five diaphragm calls, one box, a piece of leafy cut camo (for extra cover), a couple of decoys, some box call chalk, a green scrubby for treating calls, two or three stikers, a couple of locator calls and a couple of extra shells. That Bucklick Creek makes one tough vest to carry all that!

Hmmm...let's see. 2-3 decoys(usually), flexible canteen, orange turkey bag, extra gloves and headnet, toilet paper, liscense and pen for filling out tag. Call wise, M.A.D Aluminator for rainy days and striking birds, M.A.D mini box call, 3-5 mouth calls, 3-5 strikers, tube call, at least one custom friction call worth more than the vest itself <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>, friction and tube call accessories(in chewing tobacco cans), crow call, coyote howler, and hopefully a long-spurred turkey at the end of the day.
