I'm not 100% sure on this, but double check with the gun manufactures and choke companys as well. Some don't have any restrictions at all, others do. It's better be safe than sorry.

Here is a picture of the Preacher's pattern target. It was shot at 40 yards using that 3" Hevishot load by Nitro. That circle is 9" in diameter!! Pretty awesome looking pattern don't you agree!!

No... But i like the idea of having a tighter pattern and the pellets hitting with more energy!!! The winchesters are a great load. But if you can afford the best i say buy the best....

doesn't anyone think that it might pattern too tight? what about the birds at less than 30yds? the expensive nitro stuff don't mean crap if you miss. 40yds is not the only distance that you shoot birds at.

I would like to see the statistic on the averange distance a turkey is killed at. a archery deer is 18yds. not 30 or 40.

does anyone think that the turkey hunting community is getting to caught up in the "I need the tightest pattern possilbe" idea?

just a thought.

Well, I just found out that the Tru-Glo Strut-Stopper choke tube is rated to shoot the new Hevishot loads!!! I was reluctant to try them because I wasn't sure!!
