Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default My 07 turkey.

Well this is my first called in tom. My first bird was snuck up on. I had first season in wisconsin and the weather was ugly! Wed was 8 inches of snow. thurs was still snowing and school being cancled. Fri was bad because the snow had melted and then re-froze to make walking comparable to shooting a shotgun. Sat. was 25 mph wind and the birds were not gobbling. Sun was the perfect day and at 9:45 i let the hammer down on him. He was 21 lbs, 1 inch spurs, and 10.5 inch beard. Great felling when finally it comes together after bad conditions.

very nice bird... congrats... it never gets old! Calling them in makes the hunt. I have had my share or sneak ups... just not as climatic as shooting one after he puts on the full show.
