Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default I found a dead turkey today...

It looks like some ******* killed it and left it to rot. There was an explosion of feathers a few feet from where the body was. I was scouting that area today.

This kind of **** really pisses me off. It had been dead for a while as it stank to high heaven. Why the hell do people do this stuff?

Perfectly fine turkey totally wasted and just left there. I'm surprised the coyotes haven't found it yet.

Damn whoever did it. I hope the karma they created by doing it comes back to haunt them later on. They deserve it. [:@]

Was it a gobbler or hen? Is it possible it was a hen and shot during spring gobbler season by some hyper-over excited (and I use this loosely) hunter, who realized what they did after they got up to the body?

Still sounds like a senseless waste of a bird

I think it was a gobbler. I could not get close enough to it to find out more as the stench was abominable. There are pictures and video of it on my blog.

Edit: Oops, the blog link isn't working because the word filter is filtering out the word "as#hole" so you will have to type it in by hand into the spot in the URL that is being filtered. Sorry.

The fish and game people are supposed to be contacting me today. I will take the officer over to where the turkey was whenever he gets a hold of me. I don't know what else they can find out given that it had maggots on it already two days ago.

But at least its death will be recorded. And they will know about it.

Perhaps I was wrong to jump to the conclusion that somebody killed it. But I am suspicious.
