After getting bird #1 the first week, the second and third weeks were tough for me. I went out today and heard 8-10 different birds and boy did they gobble. After working one hard gobbling bird getting carried off by hens, I decided to re-position and get out in front of them. While re-position I bumped into 4 more silent gobblers on a logging road. 3 of the 4 knew something wasn't right, but the 4th bird was just a little too curious. 18lbs 10" beard 1" spurs. It's not exactly how I like to get them, but it's a bird in hand. Below are pics of my first and second gobbler in order.
