Default Roosted birds,how late?

How late after they fly up will they respond to owl calls etc. At some point do they just sleep with no response. I'm driving up to the cabin next Tue but won't get there until after 10pm,well after dark and was wondering if it was worth or even advisable to go out with an owl call that late at night. Maybe I'm better off havin a nightcap and getting to bed?

10:00....I would recommend getting some sleep and getting out there early to listen. I would just hate you see you spook birds off the roost if you don't know exactly where there roosted.

Dr. Andy,

I too would get some sleep. Our birds here start to gobble on their own around 8:05 ish.....

Do you maybe have a close friend or someone you could send out to do it???

Good luck!!

Hunt em off of first sound inthe morning. Set upbetween whereyou think they may be rosted and where you may think they want to go. Then wait till a few birds start talkin and if ya didn't guess right make your move fast and get set up on a bird before they get out of the trees. If you don't get one wednesday then go out and roost them right before dark and you'll be right on em then. WCL
