Default One proud Dad

9:00 a.m. Called up a group of 4 jakes. My son got his first bird, age 11 his second trip out. Very pleased, he made a great shot about 20 yds. I'm so proud I had to share it with the world!!

Thats great i bet you almost teared up with pride. I live in the State that believes you have to be collecting social security before you can hunt 12 for small game and 16 for big game thats crazy. I know for a fact my 10 yr son is safer than a whole lotta folks walking around with a gun and realisticly most youths would be with a parent or guardian anyway. Just one more reason to Love New York again much congratulations on an awsome day afield with your son

Thanks guys, Pennsylvania just put a mentor program in place. I now can take any kid under 12 for turkey and they do not need a license. The best thing this state has done!

Nice bird and a very proud Dad! Hope you took lots of pics and go over the hunt story with him a couple dozen times, you and he will not forget the first and hopefully it will be the first of many as a father and son team!

Congrats again!
