Default screaming that diaphram

Has anyone encountered anyone in the woods who screams the diaphram? I like to keep my calling on the light side and itbringsup aquestion. Do those "screamers" do better than light callers? Another thing......walking without a purpose in the woods just letting it rip does that work? I like to move, set up , and then call. To me I think that works more effective because if a bird is silent you will never hear him if you just walk letting it rip youkick him to the next county! I can see if a bird is all the way across the field on a windy day but just to do it bothers me. Any thoughts on this would be great.......Rob

Default RE: screaming that diaphram

I myself like getting loud with my diaphram. Especially if I have one gobbling at my calls a ways away. Once I have seen the gobbler or know that he is coming, I tone it down. I really like being aggressive, but I also know when I should tone it down. I use to be a run and gunner, but not so much anymore. I try to set up and call the birds. I really practice on patience while hunting...

There isn't really anyway to say which is more succesful. Different birds react different ways to calls.

I am loud with my diaphragm until the bird startes to close the distance. I also like to run and gun because I just like calling the birds in and listning to them gobble. All the moving around, you are bound to strike one up that is willing to gobble.

I am very loud with my diaphram call. I call aggressively and it works for me. I do alot of different stuff with mine though.
