RE: Late season turkey hunt
Late season can be as good as early season IMO. The toms will still be looking for late hens, and you should find the toms to be without hens throughout the day, so early morning and afternoon should all be good times to be out calling. Matter of fact, early morning late season hunting may be better than early morning early season, because once the hens are on thier nests, the toms will be roosting by themselves. So if you can roost a gobbler, set up on him at first light and you won't have other hens to contend with. Middle of the afternoon, find one that gobbles to your callin', and set up on him. You'll have less calling competition from other hunters too. How fast they respond can vary, nothing different than early season.
