Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Scouting Times

I was wondering what time I should go out and look for the turkeys when they go to roost. I want to see what area they go into so I can set up there in the morning. What times do they start to head into the woods, sundown?, evening times?? I'm in Ohio so any help is great thanks.

Default RE: Scouting Times

I am in Indiana and I was watching a couple just two nights ago and they were heading to the roost at about 8:20. I thought this was a little late, but it stays light out until 9:00 right now. I went back by the next morning and I could see them still roosted in the trees. If you go out and do some owl hoots late in the evening, I would say close to 9:00, then you should be able to get some to gobble and figure out where they are roosting. Hope this helps.
