Default please help me here

I have a little situation here. Where I turkey hunt i rarely drive by and see turkeys in the fields, but across the road I see them. The side I hunt has some pretty wet fields and ive heard that turkeys wont go anywheres near them. Im getting a little worried cuz my season starts in less than two weeks and Im not seeing any turkeys on my side of the road. Is this because the fields are wet, or wont that matter? I used to be able to hunt the other side of the road but got screwed outta that and am now forced to hunt this side. Any help would be appreciated.

How wet is wet? I used to hunt a field bottom that flooded alot and when there was standing water they wouldnt use it but if it was just muddy they would. It would look like they were wearing shoes from all the mud on there feet! I would maybe try calling them over if it isnt too wet to set up in otherwise sounds like you might be out of luck...

You can also try to go out one morning before day break and listen. This time of year you will usually hear turkeys gobbling right away in the morning, so go out and see if they are gobbling on your side. They might travel back and forth and you only catch them on the other side. If you hear them on your side, you should be ok.

well some parts have standing water, you think maybe theyd walk around it? The woods part theres no water, just the fields. And unfortunately last time i checked (abuot 2 weeks ago) i didnt see any turkey tracks.
