South Ark Turkey Hunters

Well looks like we are going to have some bad weather for opening weekend, I live 4 hours away so I havnt been able to get to the lease to know what the birds are doing, I am just wondering what all these cold fronts have done for the birds lately. Anybody had any luck scouting/calling the last week or so? I hunt in Drew county. Seems like the season is opening up kinda late to me, it has been open for 2 weeks here now in Louisiana where I live. I took off the Friday before so I can look around some and have a game plan for Sat. Everybody I talked to that hunts North La says they have hunted pretty hard for the last 2 weeks but have heard just a couple birds and only a few sightings.

I should be able to find something out there, I saw alot of them deer hunting this year. I saw 9 big gobblers come out at once. So if they all broke up and scattered looking for hens there should be a few left on my lease somewhere.
