Default deal with me here...haha

ok deal with me here...haha I am new to turkey hunting and don't want to mess anything up this season...I bought a B-Mobile today and a hen decoy. And didn't know if you all had any suggestions on how and where to place them as far as distances and also where to have them facing. I'm gonna be hunting with my bow so that might make a difference with distances....
Thanks guys and sorry for bugging you all

Im new to bow hunting this year also, but I would suggest putting them alot closer than you would with a gun. I would say to put them around 5 yards away from your blind if you use one. have the decoys facing you so the gobbler will go in front of them so they can see him. There are alot of great hints and tips that are already on this forum be sure to look back into the previous pages. I know Ive pretty much typed a book about turkey hunting a couple weeks ago. good luck and have fun!

I hunt with a gun and I place them no more and somtimes less than 10 yards........most times 3 to 4 paces from where I am at. I do use a full enclosed blind.

I place the hen facing at me so if the Ole real Tom who comes in want to mount her I have a head shot - you may want to place it facing away from you if using a bow. I place the Tom facing me sideways and looking at me so if the Ole real Tom wants to fight he is goig head to head - The hen is at an agle at me with the Tom set sideways as if he was about going to mount her for mating. I do use one xtra feeding bobble head hen some disatnce away.

Now be caredul with decoys.....I have had others hunters come sneaking up on my decoys.....yes that is true!

With a bow I'd set them at like 10-15 yards. Also you might try the hen facing away from you with the tom facing you. It wont always work out but alot of times a tom will want to circle in to face another tom, whereas he will tend to circle to the rear of a hen.
