Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default How Many of You........

are dedicated 20ga Turkey Hunters? I know we all (almost), have many shotguns; but, how many use ONLY A 20GA FOR TURKEY HUNTING? I'm one of those guys for several reasons:

"¢ The gun is significantly lighter (& so is the ammo lol).
"¢ The recoil is significantly less.
"¢ I introduced my wife & 4 grandsons to Turkey Hunting 4 years ago;
they can handle the 20ga (but not a 12ga, even with 2¾" loads).
"¢ There has been a DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT in 20ga chokes & loads.
"¢ It's important, (solely to me); that I level the playing field when I
hunt with them & don't have a greater advantage in my gun than
they do.

Many may not agree with my last comment but it's a guiding principle for me as I bring my family along in hunting & shooting. What are your thoughts?

Default RE: How Many of You........

I dont hunt with a 20ga but I dont see a problem with others using a 20ga. If you prefer it then ok by me. I dont disagree with your comments and I believe they have come a long way with using a 20ga. Heck I grew up using one and still have it to this date. So Im good with someone using a 20ga...
