Default peacock locator call?

anybody use a peacock locator call? do you like using it? when you use it what do u say into the call?

I have used one for a few years and dont like it, my brother put me onto it so I went and bought one havent had much luck with it, in 3 years have had 1 or 2 birds gobble to it... Just send short fast bursts threw it. Put your lips together andjust do a bunch of t's threw it....slow it down at the end...Good luck

I only use mine when nothing else is working, and then that usually doesn't work neither.

I wondered about them too, I figured why would they gobble at a peacock when we don't have peacocks in WI

I think you can use pretty much anything. I've yelled at them to locate them at night.

Those peacock locators are the same as pilliated (sp?) Woodpecker calls. The woodpeckers are common and the call is annoying as anything. I'm sure it will work in some situations, but I haven't had mine work yet. I'm still a crow call fan.
