Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Scored in Florida

I was not to be hunting this spring for myself but had a chance that changed things a bit.
The other evening I had one of my first days off since the start of the Southern season and had an offer to join a fellow on his turff and help him out or he could teach me a thing or two as he had some experence as a elder.

We met up at the shop before daylight and way we went. As we drove along he asked how I was going to shoot without a gun. (Well I never expected to shoot and brought the video camera instead). I told him I never miss with that thing we laughed...

We get to the woods and things start fast and at 7:00am I call with a mouth yelper and a gobble is returned. After a few minutes and with the camera on roll two longbeards come running to the setup. As the excitement unfolds the other fellow shoots at 35yards and down goes one longbeard. I jump up with the camera on the roll and give him the Congrats and he gives me a quit handshake and hands me the gun and says Shoot that other one!

I grab the gun and turn and setthe bead on the other gobbler head and let loose with his Benelli and down goes the other.

A double header with one gun and all shoot on Camera [8D]

The footage is not the best as we had to shoot through a strand fence on the pasture area we were hunting on the property, but you can see the birds off and on and hear all that goes on as the gun is handed over.

I had a great hunt with this fellow and it will last for a life time..

The both birds were close in stats

14 and 17 pounds
9 and 9 1/2 beards
3/4 and 1 inch spurs
