Pretty much. The tree yelps are made when they are just waking up. They are soft, tentative, somewhat sleepy yelps. They don't do it alot. Just letting the birds aroundher know that she'sawake and feeling OK.
A tree yelp is soft and short , the yelp is a little more raspy and drawn out. If you go to the National Wild Turkey Federation's web site you'll find a page or link to turkey calls. Click on each call and listen to what it sounds like , make sure you have your speakers turned up.
