For some reason turkeys just seem oblivious to blinds. You can set one in the middle of a field and they will walk right by it. I hunted out of a blind last year and my step dad killed his first turkey. It was the first time he had ever been turkey hunting. I got a lot of it on film. I will definitely be using a blind this year because I am chasing those gobblers with a bow this spring.

Here ya go. This is out in the wide open in a feild.

Had hens pecking around the blind at less than 10 yds a few times.

We use blinds all the time, because we are using archery tackle! I like the fact that you can sit side by side, be semi-comfortable on a small chair, and visit quietly with your partner, also if it's raining you're nice and dry, and filming hunts is easy to do! Turkeys just aren't bothered by blinds!

I concur. If you are interested in buying a blind the one thing to beware of is to not get a blind that is too small. My first blind was so small I couldnt get turned around to the right to shoot a bird.

I turkey hunt out of my Double Bull T5 ground blind most of the time and those birds will walk right up to it.
Heres a picture from last spring of my set up.

Blinds are great in so many differnt reasons; they protect you from the elements, conceal some of your movement/sound and they also huge confidence boosters! If you're planning on buying a blind, my favorite maker is Double Bull. Here's a link: http://www.doublebullarchery.com/

I bought a dog house blind and really like it. It was cheaper for me to get a blind than to buy the camo clothing to get me started turkey hunting.
Hope to get a Double Bull in the near future.

I have hunted from blinds and I really like hunting from them. You can move more and film easier. Im sure opening morning my butt will be setting in one.
