I just picked up a BTD Outdoors Blue Collar Box Call at a local hunt show. It sounds great and is only $20.00.

Check them out at: http://www.btdoutdoors.com

If your lookin for ease of use, a fool proof call that u can't foul up, it would b a push-pull call.

Primos Heart Breaker is a nice box call. Quaker Boy also makes some good boxes.

I started with a slate call and I still prefer it to all others. Try several types before you decide.

I would get a Knight and Hale Ol' Yeller for a slate type call. Its one of the easiest to use, great for a beginner, and it does get the turkeys all fired up when they're in the mood. It doesn't break the bank either. A Primos Power Crystal would be a good choice after you've had a little practice on th Ol' Yeller. I have a lot of calls, but those two are still my go-to calls.

I find myself grabbing for my slate call more than any other call and they aren't that hard to use. I seem to get more response from gobblers from my slate calls than anything else.

I would go to a Cabelas, Gander Mtn., or Bass Pro. Before turkey hunting they always have their calls out on display for you to try out. Find one you like and sounds good and go with it.
