Default Dug Out The Vest

I was doing a little cleaning today, and dragged out my vest. Of course, I had to make sure my calls still work It was nice to get the calls out and start psyching myself up for the season, but I'm not so sure my wife would agree [8D]

I bet the neighbors thing Im crazy

But thats okay. Id think they were a little crazy too if i heard turkey, deer, squirrel, and owl sounds comingfrom outof their houses

i usually do as bowhunter does...put them in a drawer or on the shelf and play them all year when i get bored..this year my vest never moved from where i put it after the season lol. calls and shells and the whole 9yds still in it. i never do that. must be the busier life im running now...but ill break the calls out and run them before the season...as well as turn out a bunch more strikers..

I know for a fact this is that my wife feels this way. All she hears is turkey sounds and she tells me everyday that those sounds are starting to get on her nerves after thirty minutes of non-stop playing. She doesn't complain though when there is turkey on the table

Hey, Maytom I would have to find another state to hunt or lobby the Great State of New York for an earlier start date.No way I could wait that long.

I got my vest out the other day too. I'm driving my wife crazy with these calls. Our season here in Alabama starts on March 15.

My wife finally said the other day....'so it is becoming pretty obvious to me that you will never give up hunting. Between bowhunting, gun hunting, turkey hunting, small game hunting, archery leagues, archery tournaments, taxidermy, and those hunting videos, you pretty much do it year round'

I replied....'Yep, pretty much'.

Hopefully she leaves me alone for a while now.

I just got a new Primos vest for Valentines day My wife is great. As far as calls go I've been practicing mouth calls during my hour long commute for a couple of months now.
