Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Most probably the opening. Normally when they fly down it's to some sort of field or opening. Sounds like you are doing ypour homework.

My guess is that they would fly down towards the slope and head to the opening , is there a water source near by ?

They'll head for that too , so it would be a good idea to set - up an ambush some where along that route.

They dust off at least once a day , my guess they'll stop there and dust off before they get to the water.
That should be between the time they fly down and before noon ,so it be the early part of there day.

dont be scared to setup on the road that goes up the ridge, that is where I would set up with a bow because when they go up or down the road you will know the exact distance to the center of the road, check the distance between the blind and the center of the road, the birds will eventually travel down or up this road, be patient and use a blind if you have one, it is the easiest way to get drawn on the bird..The property I hunt on has a road that adjoins 2 fields one is on top of a ridge and one is at the bottom of the ridge the road runs inbetween these 2 fields, every year for the last 5 years either I or someone I hunt with has shot a bird on this road, we draw numbers out of a hat before we hunt and whatever number you have is the place that we have numbered that you hunt, everyone hopes for old number 2, that is the road I was talking about...

Not far at all if you hit him right , he might try to fly off if you don't break his wing.
I have a string tracher / tacker device attached to my riser , it's like a bowfishing rig.
I tie one end of the string to the shaft of the arrow where the broad head is and when I shoot , the arrow goes thru the bird and so does the string.
That way if the bird does fly off , I'll still be able to track it , you can buy this product at any sporting goods store.
