Default New York Season?

hey guys,
i live in NY but on long island and as all you LI'ers know theres not turkey hunting here so we gotta go upstate. so for all you guys who live upstate, any guesses as to how the season is gonna be? after this season im going to be at the US Air Force Academy so i wont be getting much hunting in so im hoping this season is a good one!

Well, it was a wet spring, but from what I have seen, the hatch was still good. Also, the winter has been mild, making the polts chance of survival even greater. I'm hoping for a great season. Good luck at the USAFA, and bag a long beard.

The hatch last spring was modest, but better than I expected due to the very wet spring...

More important, wasthe 2005 hatch, which was very good...That should result in a good number of hard gobbling two year olds out there this spring...

Of course, weather may make or break the season..Hard to predict that..

Irregardless, mating WILL take place and there will be the opportunity to kill some gobblers..
