Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Winchester Xtended Range High Density reviews

Just wondering if anyone has been shooting these loads. I currently shoot Federal FC #4 shot with pleasing results and I know each guns different. But I'm looking for general reviews on the loads, preferably #5,6 shot. If anyone has a similar setup this year I'm takin out my Express supermag turkey, 26" barrel, TruGlo Gobble Stopper choke.

ive used these shells and love them. dont know if they compare to other hi density shells b/c these are the only ones ive used, but i do know they sure beat lead as far as patterns go (in my case anyway). when i pattern again this spring ill post specifics on my tests. lead vs these shells.

I have heard very good things about this load. This will be my first year using the load. I get very good pellet counts with an Indian Creek choke .675 in my Mossy 835... Good luck!

I patterned the winchesters Xrnge, federal flite control, and hevi-shot thru my SBE last year. I had five different chokes also. The winner for me was winchester thru the kicks chokes. The hevi-shot was a close second. With those two combinations I had killing patterns out to 50 yds. That is where i stopped patterning, I'm sure the patterns would have held up past that.

With X-range 12 ga. 3" #6's, my best pattern was 36 hits in a turkey head target with 12 in the brain/spine at 40 yd. This was out of a regular Undertaker choke.

Hey guys, I don't want to steal the thread but was wondering if these ammos will harm older barrels like steel will? I'm new to the world of turkey hunting and still looking for the right turkey ammo.
