Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Kansas or Oklahoma Rio's

Looking for info on a Rio hunt and would like to go to either Kansas or Oklahoma. Recommendations on outfitters and location would be greatly appreciated.

You can contact Kent Howell @ 1-580-729-1928 or Roger Slife @ 1-580-729-0008. I've hunted with them for 4 or 5 years now. The hunts include lodging, but you provide your own meals and guide yourself. They show you the properties and roost locations. Awesome hunts for the money.

Sorry, that's in Sayre, OK. About as far west as you can go before TX. Just past Elk City. 50-100 birds per roost area is common. I've watched over 20 longbeards fly down, strut, gobble and fight.

Any area around Sayre in Western OK is great. I grew up about 20 minutes south of the there and still hunt rio's around there. There is also good public land just north of Sayre. BlackKettle and I believe Packsaddle although they are hunted really hard on the weekends. OK spring season is April 6 to May 6.
