Default Feels like spring

Going up to 70 todayMakes me want to start Owling already

I head a young jake gobbling last week while I was on stand... Kinda got my blood pumping!!!!

Anybody else hearing any birds gobbling with this warm weather???

It sure does .. here in Micigan we have temps in the 50's and no snow just rain.
I went out in the woods last Thursday to take my last treestand down for the season and I saw a flock of turkeys.
They sure were pretty ...there was a couple that where almost white with some reddish brown ... MAN it would be cool to get one of those in range of my bow this coming season.

18 jakes in a flockclose to the road. Rolled down the window and made a couple mouth yelps. All 18 sounded off in unison. That was about 3-4 weeks ago. It doesn't really count however....they were on private land [8D]

Yeah, we've lucked out this winter so far. It makes me wonder if the earlier seasons will be better this year. Normally I like the first week in May, but it may be a little too late this year.

It's been mild down here in north LA. also. I saw two longbeards on my property while deer hunting Saturday. I was more fired up seeing them than I was seeing deer. Looks like it may be a good season. I had to go home and throw in a turkey hunting dvd. Man I am fired up. Only two and a half months left.
