Default Guillotine vs Reg fixed Broadheads

I've been using my Muzzey100gr. four blade broadheads for turkeys in the past and I was wondering if the Guillotines would be better , with the longer / wider cutting widths it seems like they would be easyly deflected by twigs and branches.
What is everyones opinion on this ?

id have to sell my bow to buy a couple of their special arrows and heads!! i cant remember the prices but i think the arrows were 30$ or something a piece.

sure with a head shot you waste no meat blah blah etc...but even with a 4 inch BH you still have what...a 3 inch target?? oh..not to mention that 3 inch target NEVER EVER stops moving. anyone that watches turkeys know that head and neck is always moving.

another thing that comes to mind is turkeys reaction time. i dont know if they are quick like deer or not...but they can see and hear much better than a deer..they could probably see that arrow coming..i dont know..

alot of guys love em..ive never used them..although the body shots killzones are small too i think theres a better chance hitting it than a moving head/neck..just my thoughts..

I have read that they work best with a 31 inch carbon arrow with three 5 inch helical feather flecthcings for better flight.
I use 29 1/2 carbons withthree 4 inch helical fletchings and four blade 100 gr. fixed broad heads.
Took the head right offa jenny four years ago during a fall turkey hunt up north at 15 yards.
At $ 34.99 a piece , thats a little too rich for my wallet and that was just for the onebroadhead itself.

Not a big fan of Guillotines. Like Mauser said, between the arrows and the heads, your going to have more stuck into the setup than you paid for your turkey tags.

The Guillotines also are just for head shots, meaning there are fewer positions for shots. Fixed bladed can be shot when the bird is head on, broad side, or facing away.

But all in all, you have to make the choice.

I weighed the situation last year and decided with a guillotine. Having never killed a turkey with a bow, I decided I would either cut his head off or miss completely. Fortunately, I was able to cut his head off. It was a Rio at 13 steps. Shot him out of a Double Bull in a pasture. If you ever take a head off with a Guillotine, you'll be hooked. Now I'll probably try a std broadhead or a mechanical. It is a bit of a hassle toting around a 4" BH, but it's well worth it when you kill one.
