Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Turkey Roosting Question!!!

I was hunting for deer tonight and heard several turkey go to roost on the ridge opposite of me tonight. What time will they come down in the morning? What will they do? Any information about how to set up on them would be helpful...

They will come off roost shortly after daylight, and head to wherever they are eating. From my experience, i've noticed that turkeys move nearly the entire day and do not go really far, and return fairly close to where they were before. Hunting birds in the fall is fairly hard because its nearly impossible to locate them, if you could set up on the roosted birds, probably on top of the ridge some where, you might be able to cut them off. Good Luck.

or you could find a protected dry area a short distance from the roost sight, dusting areas are scarce in some places so don't ride them to hard there or they'll abandon itand about 10:00 they be there to dust, anyone who's ever witnessed this will testify, its a sight to behold, a whole flock of turkeys laying on they're backs flopping and kicking on the ground, always makes me laugh!
