Default woman hunters 1st turkey

I was asked to go along with a lady friend who was drawn for a fall either sex turkey tag ,and try to get her a bird ,i have never hunted fall so we gave it a try and about 930 had a hen answer and called her all the way in over 200 yds through the woods and she smoked her at 15 yds.Man was we pumped ,shes hooked on it for sure now.She used my big gun with the scope and 3 and half in 4 shot win,[big bruise] but she said that it didnt hurt,, ha.

Sounds like a great hunt, but allowing her to shoot such a large load could very well change any womans mind about ever putting a gun the their shoulder again. If fact you could have turned her into a real flincher for the next outting. Lots of women will not say a thing but in hind sight, it darn well hurts and could have scared her to want to shoot another gun.

Ladys do not have the shoulders that most men do and all male partners should know this. Setting her up with your gun is one thing , but appling shells that will do the job , but will not pound the daylights out of them is the only way to make the sport enjoyable for them.

Scare them and they won't go the next time.

I know this because I have shared the woods with lots of women on turkey hunts...
