Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Decoys in the fall for Easterns?

Has anyone had luck using decoys in the fall? Am I wasting my time?

Yea they work in the fall just as do in the spring , but instaed of the love triangle that most hunters use at spring time a single hen or two will do the trick to bring them in closer .

rd hunter hit it on the nose. I use a pair of hens for my decoys in the fall, and i dont pick up my call as often. i just throw out a cluck or two every now and then. i really change my gameplan when it comes to fall. it really helps the turkey come your way if the decoys are where they can see them. nothing like trying to hunt a big flock of 80 eastern birds comin right at ya.

I dont use fall decoys or tents or anything I cant pack and move at the drop of a het in the Fall. I run and gun.. and with success. Many times in the Fall I get out early enough to listen for the owls and whatnot... They'll get a gobbler goin on the roost. You may be on the move a bit... and often. If I cant pack it and run... I dont take it.
